Chapter 109
Amara, her face pale, looked up and said, "I had just joined the production, planning to read a book in the break
room when Liliana stoppedin my tracks. She wantedto tweak the scene for the next shoot. | refused and
turned to leave. | hadn't taken more than a couple of steps before | heard a cry. | turned around to see Liliana
flailing in the pond, splashing around wildly until someone went in to rescue her. And that's exactly how it went
down."
Amara recounted the incident just as it had happened. She wasn't sure if anyone believed her, but she knew she
had a clear conscience.
She felt an intense gaze boring down on her from above - it was Finnian, but she avoided making eye contact
with him.
Just then, a nurse pushed open the door to the hospital room and stepped out, pulling down her mask. "The
process was successful, and Ms. Porter's baby is okay. However, she needs to rest more during this period. We

Hearing this, everyone let out a collective sigh of relief, asking, "Has Liliana woken up?"
"Can we go in and see her?"
"Ms. Porter is conscious now. You can visit her, but keep it under ten minutes."
The nurse left, and Finnian was the first to enter the room, followed quickly by Cedric and the others. Amara
stood up but didn't go in right away.
Now that her mind was clearing up, she replayed the day's events in her head, feeling utterly bizarre. She was
sure she hadn't even touched Liliana; Liliana must have jumped into the pond on her own. But why? To frame
her? That didn't make any sense she had no motive.
If Finnian refused to divorce her and continued ignoring Liliana, it would make sense for Liliana to try and frame
her. But Finnian was entirely on Liliana's side now, and their divorce cooling-off period was almost over. Liliana
should be reveling in both career and love. Why would she do such a thing?
Besides, by jumping into the pond, the one most at risk was her unborn child. Why would she endanger her own
baby? Surely she wouldn't jump in just because Amara wouldn' change the script for her. That was absurd.
Determined to get to the bottom of this, Amara glanced at the hospital room and followed the others inside.
"Finn, you're here."
Liliana reached out her pale hand, clutching frail

As she spoke, tears welled up and spilled over. She quickly turned her back to wipe them away.
Finnian stood by the bedside, his expression stern and cold. "What happened that time? Why did you fall into the
water?"
Liliana bit her lip, casting a glance towards Amara, who stood by the door. Everyone followed her gaze to look at
Amara.

When Liliana finished, all eyes were on Amara, as if they were seeing her in a new, darker light.
Amara was trembling with indignation, but she fought to stay composed. She moved to the bedside and said,
"You're lying!"
